I was asked to make a number of openers and closers to be shown at the start and end of each programme on the disney XD channel. I enjoyed making these, as they were quite playful and I could use my own artwork. Scroll through my vimeo to see the rest!

My updated showreel for 2011
I'm back!
Hello, I have been away for 6 weeks on an interrail trip so have not been able to update regularly! Pictures of my trip will be coming soon, I had an amazing time and have had a great life experience would do it all again! It certainly wasnt easy and I think my legs definitely gained some muscle. I feel well rested and am eager to start working again!
The University of Sheffield hired me to create some ten second animations for them, advertising some of their university facilities. I have currently done ones (in several different sizes) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The brief included their corporate font and logos and also to create the imagery in a vector, bold aesthetic. Check out the vimeo links to view lunch and dinner!

Following taking part in a 36 hour hitch- hiking trip for charity, me and my two friends managed to get to Prague, we decided to make use of the trip and make a motion graphic project from it, submitting it as part of our uni work. Working as a three it was an enjoyable group project and created a memorable movie recording our journey.
This is the the start sequence for my fourth project for the brief of recreating the title sequence for Into The Wild. I decided to work on my character development and focus more on the story line and textual referencing, making the animation more in to an opening scene rather than a title sequence. All the imagery is handmade and mostly cut out of card. My fingers were definitely hurting...
Following my first brief of remaking a title sequence for Into The Wild using only the material of maps, for this week project I remade the same sequence but with the limitations of only using a red dot. I used a digital effect to create the red dots and manipulated them into shapes.
This is one of my final projects at university. The brief was to recreate the title sequence for movie ‘Into the Wild’ using only the materials of maps. Edited through photoshop and After Effects i came up with this, im very happy with it!

MOTH is becoming one of my favourite motionographers. This video is amazing in its design and motion qualities.
Forgot how much i love this song: Avril 14th by Aphex twin. Weird how calm this song is compared the the infamous ‘come to daddy’ song and video which is just disturbing. Inspiring me to create a nice film piece for it, similar to the one showed here by Clemento.

This is a great little movie by Thought bubble.
The continuity and illustrative style is brilliant and I also agree with its message.

I was set a competitive brief at university, which was a competition as a module. The title was ‘Fakery’ and it was a typographic brief. Being an illustrator i found this a bit difficult at first, but I tried to incorporate sly illustrations in with moving type. I used inspiration from ‘procrastination’ by Johnny Kelly (the video is blogged after this entry) In the sense...
This is a motion test from a previous project. I wanted to master the ‘shatter’ and ‘write-on’ technique in after effects.
